Jive & CSC Form Strategic Alliance to Drive Social Business to New Level

CSC's Jive Deployment Scales to 49,000 Professionals in Only One Year

BOSTON, June 14 -- Today, Jive Software and CSC (NYSE:CSC) announced that CSC is a launch partner for Jive Apps Market, with plans to develop mobile social business applications for the 15 million Jive users worldwide. In addition, CSC will immediately begin to market and sell Jive Social Business Software (SBS) across its lines of business.

This partnership represents a significant expansion of the relationship between the two companies and a seminal step for the emerging mobile SBS market.

"Social is the new way to do business," said John McCracken, senior vice president of Worldwide Sales at Jive. "CSC is one of the first professional services firms to become a true social business. Now, CSC is taking their expertise with Jive Social Business Software to their clients. It's a move that will result in a competitive advantage for CSC's clients, which include some of the largest commercial and government agencies in the world."

"We are committed to enabling the same knowledge sharing, collaboration and productivity gains for our clients that we have seen ourselves internally," said John Glowacki, corporate vice president and chief technology officer, CSC. "As the mobile workforce continues to grow, our expansion into mobile Jive apps will translate that efficiency into the mobile enterprise."

CSC has a long track record of delivering advanced, secure mobile solutions. As a tier one developer for mobile devices, CSC will initially develop a mobile social business application for RIM's BlackBerry smartphones.

CSC provides business solutions, technology and outsourcing to businesses and governments worldwide. As a Jive partner, CSC is forming a Social Business Practice to provide a model on how to advance companies into the social business market. This includes incorporating social business practices into its Leading Edge Forum. The Forum brings together a global network of thought leaders, CSC experts, clients and partners to collaborate on leveraging the latest business and technology trends.

One year ago, CSC launched C3 (Connect, Communicate and Collaborate), a Jive-powered community for the 94,000 CSC employees around the world. C3 was developed to address pressing business challenges including cumbersome expertise location and the loss of intellectual property through attrition, siloed tools and internal communities or divisions. The community has been recognized for the involvement of CSC executives and adoption of best practices. C3 has been growing at a rate of 2,500 new members per week and now boasts 49,000 members.
