SRS MyVolume Adaptor Wins TechAmerica's American Technology Award in the Consumer Electronics Category
SANTA ANA, Calif., June 22 -- SRS Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ:SRSL), has been named the winner in the 2010 American Technology Awards, "The Termans", which bestows the "Best Of" awards that recognize all technology products and services for the technology industry. The award was attributed to the MyVolume Adaptor, a standalone TV volume leveling solution featuring SRS TruVolume technology, in the Consumer Electronics category.
SRS MyVolume, powered by TruVolume(TM) technology, is a small HDMI adapter that is primarily designed to connect between TVs and set-top-boxes and allows users to enjoy television programming free from annoying volume fluctuations that are normally encountered when switching between sources, channels, and when programming transitions to commercials. SRS TruVolume is a revolutionary audio solution that provides listeners with a consistently comfortable volume level for a more enjoyable multimedia experience. Listeners simply set the volume to their preferred listening level, sit back and relax. And, with more than 30-million CE devices shipped worldwide featuring the SRS solution, TruVolume is the uncontested de-facto volume-leveling standard.
"We would like to thank TechAmerica Foundation for this honor, as we are truly thrilled to have been recognized with a Terman for our work on the MyVolume Adaptor," said Allen H. Gharapetian, Vice President of Marketing for SRS Labs. "Volume fluctuations have irritated households for years and this little device, through sophisticated power of SRS TruVolume, can effectively eliminate this issue for good."
"We had a lot of nominations for these prestigious awards, and we congratulate SRS Labs for their winning achievement," said Phil Bond, chairman, TechAmerica Foundation. "TechAmerica Foundation is excited to highlight SRS Labs, as it continues to influence technology development throughout the rest of the world."
