Cirago Launches New USB Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR Adapters with Better Encryption, Reduced Power Consumption

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 23 -- Cirago International, a leading manufacturer of multimedia centers, storage and wireless solutions, today announced the launch of an exclusive new line of micro USB Bluetooth adapters compliant with Bluetooth specification 3.0 for improved handling of encryption keys and better power consumption management. The devices, Class 2 BTA3310 with a 10-meter (33-foot) range and Class 1 BTA6310 with 100-meter (330-foot) range, are some of the first Bluetooth 3.0 compliant devices on the market.
The Cirago Micro USB Bluetooth Adapters turn any USB 2.0 port into a Bluetooth data connection with full-speed operation and full Piconet and Scatternet support. The discreet devices - about the size of a thumbnail - are RoHS compliant and provide wireless connectivity for headsets, smart phones, mice and keyboards. Both are EDR compliant for both 2Mbps and 3Mbps modulation modes.

Each adapter comes with an installation disk for Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or 7. No additional software is required for Macintosh systems running Mac OS 10.4.7 and higher.
