HIT Mobile and T-Mobile Team Up to Open 1st Latino Playground Store in Cudahy
New Store Supports Hispanic Entrepreneurs and Caters to Latino Consumers with T-Mobile's Suite of Communication Products and Services
LOS ANGELES, June 28 -- HIT Mobile Inc., in partnership with T-Mobile USA Inc., today unveiled a fresh way for Latino consumers to experience and shop for communication services with the opening of a new retail location as part of the company's T-Mobile Premium Retailer Latino (TPR Latino) program.
The store in the City of Cudahy will feature a wide variety of wireless products and services in a very interactive shopping environment - the first TPR Latino location designed in the company's "playground" format which encourages customer interaction with staff and includes features that makes store visits more hands-on and dynamic. All TPR Latino stores are immediately identifiable by their "Estamos Juntos" signage and offer welcoming store designs with children's play areas and bilingual in-store materials. "This is tremendous for the Hispanic customer, who will be able to try T-Mobile's full suite of services and devices within a store designed specifically with them in mind," said Mauro Martinez Jr., President and CEO of HIT Mobile Inc. "Everyone at HIT Mobile is dedicated to providing our Latino customers with innovative wireless services, culturally sensitive customer care and greater convenience when purchasing communications products."
The TPR program is one of T-Mobile's highest-caliber, branded partner programs with locations that are owned and operated by third party experts in wireless services. All stores have the same look and feel of a T-Mobile company store with access to all T-Mobile's internal tools and systems. Through the TPR Latino program, T-Mobile looks to partner with knowledgeable entrepreneurs who want to open locations in multicultural communities they know extremely well. The Cudahy store will operate under the ownership and management of Martinez, a long-time professional in the wireless industry.
"Mauro is exactly what we are looking for in a business partner," said Diego Andrade, National Account Manager for T-Mobile USA. "He has solid credentials, name recognition in the Hispanic community, in-depth knowledge of the wireless business, and has T-Mobile's total support."
Martinez was selected as the latest member of the TPR Latino initiative in large part because of his extensive knowledge of the Hispanic customer.
"I have spent years working in the Latino community, I fully understand and appreciate its shopping habits, buying patterns and so much more," said Martinez. "That includes hiring from the area, building a team reflective of the community and giving back to ensure success for everyone."
Martinez and T-Mobile plan to open new stores in Monterey Park and Panorama City in the coming months and several more across Southern California by mid-2011. The Cudahy retail store located at 7200 Atlantic Ave is open: Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Founded by Mauro Martinez, HIT Mobile Inc. is Southern California's premier Latino-owned wireless retailer, providing added-value mobile services to the Hispanic community. It is a provider of T-Mobile products and services which include, but are not limited to, wireless communication services, wireless, high speed Internet access and voice services.
