New York's Largest Residential Brokerage Launches Preview of Game-Changing, Consumer-Focused Site for "All Things Real Estate" -- Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, North Fork & The Hamptons
NEW YORK, June 29 -- Prudential Douglas Elliman announces their new 'game-changing' website, the new elliman.com with the most powerful real estate tools in the industry, will be launched as a BETA version today. The site, designed with the consumer in mind, is interactive, allowing an individual to shop all residential properties available from Manhattan to Montauk through an intuitive and highly visual experience.
More than just a search engine, the website is a "one-stop-shop" offering the most comprehensive selection of listings available in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, the North Fork and the Hamptons. In addition to a highly customized "super search," a consumer will be able to get answers to a myriad of real estate questions, including pricing, date listed, financing, mortgage information and market data.
Neighborhood information, critical to homebuyers and sellers, will include restaurants; art and entertainment; nightlife; top shops; health and recreation; nearby hotels and other local amenities. Other unique features include Also Available in Your Building/Neighborhood and Recommended For You.
"The vision behind the new website is to put real estate consumers in the driver's seat and let them steer," said Dottie Herman, President and CEO of Prudential Douglas Elliman. "The world of real estate and the way people search for homes has evolved and we wanted to be at the forefront of their searches. Consumers today prefer websites that are searchable, usable and social. We think that with this website, we've achieved a new model for the future."
The idea behind introducing the site as the BETA version is to invite consumers to use the site and send in comments, questions or suggestions about their experience. By engaging the consumer, the firm is committed to building a site for them -- and with them. A final version will be released in the early fall.
As the site evolves, Prudential Douglas Elliman will continue to introduce many unique and advanced features to enhance user experience. "Our customers will be able to generate neighborhood-specific content, review services and restaurants. We will also be rolling out a number of mini-apps that cover every aspect of the buying, selling and financing processes," added Herman. "We expect to be able to extend the website to all mobile platforms including the iPhone, the iPad, the Blackberry and the Droid."
