Expansion for Turn-Based Online Fantasy Card Game Co-Designed by Richard Garfield, Creator of Magic: The Gathering(TM), Now Available on Steam
REDMOND, Wash., July 1 -- Three Donkeys (http://www.threedonkeys.com), an independent game developer and publisher, announced today the release of Spectromancer: League of Heroes Expansion(TM), co-designed by Magic: The Gathering's Richard Garfield and Alexey Stankevich, creator of Astral Tournament and Astral Masters. Spectromancer: League of Heroes Expansion adds a new campaign and three new mage types to the original Spectromancer(TM) for both single-player or online multi-player modes with several new features in both play modes, which more than doubles the game play of the original Spectromancer(TM). Now available at http://www.spectromancer.com, http://www.impulsedriven.com/spectrox1, and at http://store.steampowered.com/app/22510/ for $9.95, Three Donkeys will also offer gamers a free trial download.
"Spectromancer was so well received that we worked very hard to add an expansion disk worthy of the original game," said Richard Garfield, Spectromancer's co-designer. "It took a little longer than we expected, but I know that fans of the original game will really enjoy the new features we added in Spectromancer: League of Heroes Expansion, and new players will be drawn to the game's elegant interface and depth of play, as it is a perfect new challenge for fans of turn-based card games."
Spectromancer: League of Heroes Expansion(TM) adds a new campaign and three new mage types to the original Spectromancer. Players can take on the role of the Sorcerer, Demonologist, or Beastmaster, all with new spells and creatures, and play any of the nine mages in either the old or the new campaigns. In the online multiplayer mode, gamers can now save replays of games, participate in the ever-changing Arena, and try to become the champion each month-long Arena cycle, where new environments are constantly presented to mix up the world order and keep players searching for the perfect strategy.
