CPCNet Enhances Managed Security Services Portfolio
Introduces the FIRST true web cloud security service in partnership with Zscaler, and powerful network encryption solution for distributed enterprises
HONG KONG, July 2 -- CPCNet Hong Kong Limited, a renowned communications and security solutions partner in the Asia Pacific region and a wholly owned subsidiary of CITIC 1616 Holdings Limited (HKEx: 1883), is enhancing its managed security services for enterprises. The new solutions address enterprise web access needs arising from fast growing adoption of Web 2.0 applications, and scalability challenges resulting from expansion and globalization.
"CPCNet's partnership with Zscaler signifies the establishment of the first web security gateway throughout our data centers in Hong Kong. Incorporating Zscaler's industry leading security and web access technologies -- our newly launched managed security service TrustCSI(TM) Web Cloud Security helps safeguard enterprise computing environments and ensure all web traffic and activities, including access from their mobile devices such as iPhones, are complied with centralized policies. It is the FIRST true web cloud security service which requires no hardware and software installation, making it simple and fast for our customers to adopt," said Daniel Kwong, General Manager, Information Technology and Security Services of CPCNet.
"We are delighted to enter this partnership to provide security solutions to customers of CPCNet through our cloud infrastructure. Both organizations bring significant strengths that users will benefit from," said Joy Ghosh, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Zscaler. "CPCNet is a trusted name. They understand customers' needs and deliver security services from their state of the art data centre. Zscaler protects users irrespective of where they work from, transparently providing security and enforcing web policies while enabling real-time reporting through our cloud infrastructure. This will further augment CPCNet's service in the market with a major competitive edge, that in turn will benefit end users in the Enterprise and Small/Medium business segments," he added.
While traditional web proxies sequentially perform inspections -- introducing latency, the TrustCSI(TM) Web Cloud Security solution uses Single Scan Multi-Action (SSMA) technology, enabling one scan for actions including anti-virus, URL filtering, botnets, data leakage detection, bandwidth and Web 2.0 control. "With CPCNet's high availability data center as the gateway in Hong Kong, the solution ensures reliable re-routing process and slashes full inspection latency by 70-80%, without sacrificing security," said Kwong. The solution protects against known and zero-day viruses, and can control global and external web traffic, including access from mobile devices.
Securely connecting offices worldwide
To address growing needs of enterprises to maintain communications between expanding networks of offices, while dealing with diverse, evolving network threats and information vulnerabilities across unsecured Internet links, CPCNET is introducing TrustCSI(TM) Network-X, a powerful yet easily deployed solution, for securely connecting business points of presence anywhere in the world via strong encryption. It effectively thwarts all forms of data interception or alterations between sites.
TrustCSI(TM) Network-X empowers organizations to optimize workflow and investment by sharing centralized resources, without compromising security or performance. Utilizing existing Internet links, the solution offers industry-proven encryption leveraging signed digital SSL or IPSec certificates to ensure authenticity and prevent interceptions or alterations of en-route data traffic. In addition, TrustCSI(TM) Network-X combines network firewall, intrusion detection and protection, as well as anti-virus features with optimized performance to deliver comprehensive protection.
Comprehensive ISO certifications and IPv6 ready
"We are also proud to announce that CPCNet has become the first managed services provider in Hong Kong to receive all three ISO (International Organization for Standardization), includes ISO 9001, ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 certifications," said Daniel Kwong. "In January, we received ISO 20000 Information Technology Service Management System Certification. This recognises our system and service infrastructure, such as CPCNet Security Operations Center (SOC), for supporting provision and operation of TrueCONNECT(TM) Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) VPN Service and TrustCSI(TM) Managed Security Services to our customers."
With the market projection of IPv4 address exhaustion by end of 2011, CPCNet ensures that it is operationally ready to provide the necessary support to its customers by having implemented dual stack technique in its MPLS VPN and internet services at its backbone and infrastructure to enable both IPv4 and IPv6. "With this, customers can easily enable IPv6 applications on our network platform to enjoy better security and efficiency. CPCNet is one of the pioneer service providers in the market today to provide both IPv4 and IPv6 MPLS VPN and internet services at every location within its network," added Kwong.
