Game Trading Technologies, Inc. to Introduce Powerful iPhone Application to Build, Value, Manage and Trade Video Game Collections
HUNT VALLEY, Md., July 13 -- Game Trading Technologies, Inc. ("GTTI" or the "Company", OTC Bulletin Board: GMTD), a leading provider of comprehensive trading solutions for video game retailers, publishers, rental companies and consumers is pleased to announce the development of an iPhone application ("App") that allows video game players to build, value, manage, and trade their personal video game software collections.
The soon-to-be-released downloadable iPhone application named "GameBook Mobile" will allow users to input and manage their entire collection of video games and systems. GameBook Mobile utilizes GTTI's proprietary "GFI Gamebook"(TM), a market valuation technology that prices over 10,000 pre-owned video games quickly and accurately in real time.
GameBook Mobile for the iPhone will initially consist of six unique features including: Value My Games/Collection, Scan My UPC, Trade Trend Key, Trade-O-Meter, Want List and Store Locator.
Within an easy-to-use interface, Value My Games/Collection enables the user to search for games by platform, title and UPC code and build their own personal collection. As the user adds games to their collection, they are able to view the entire collection and its value. The Scan My UPC tool uses Apple's powerful iPhone camera hardware to take a picture of the UPC barcode on the back of any game, enabling the user to add the games to their iPhone game collection with just a few clicks.
Similar to trading stocks, the Trade Trend Key will display a symbol informing the user if the market value of a game or the user's entire collection is trending up quickly, up slowly, stable, down quickly or down slowly. The Trade-O-Meter tool enables the user to track which games in their collection are keepers versus games that are definite candidates for trade. Both of these tools provide real-time values and trends so that the best trading decisions can be made.
The Want List enables the App users to add video games they may want to purchase or trade for in the future. Future releases of GameBook Mobile will process a trade in order, allow for game purchases, and enable users to trade games on-line using their game collection as a form of payment for desired games and products.
The Store Locator enables the user to locate the nearest trade center partner to physically trade-in some or all of their video games for specific retailer gift cards. The App uses the iPhone's built-in GPS software or allows the user to specify their location to search for the closest trade-in partner.
"There exists pricing and demand volatility in the market for pre-owned video games and gaming systems. We have specifically designed GameBook Mobile for those millions of video gaming consumers so that they are able to make timely, well informed trade-in decisions for every title, system, and accessory they own," says Todd Hays, President Game Trading Technologies, Inc.
