GameHouse Announces Winners of Second Annual Great Game Awards
SEATTLE, July 20 -- GameHouse®, a division of RealNetworks®, Inc. (NASDAQ:RNWK), announced the winners for the second annual GameHouse Great Game Awards(TM) (GG's) during an exclusive event held last night at Experience Music Project in Seattle. Media sponsors TechFlash and Gamezebo partnered with GameHouse to present the 2010 GG's, and the judging panel included representatives from leading independent developers across the casual games industry. GameHouse introduced the GG's in 2009 as a way to showcase the most talented and creative casual games developers in the industry.
This year, casual gamers had the opportunity to get involved and select the GG's first ever GAME OF THE YEAR - PLAYER'S CHOICE award by voting for their favorite game at GameHouse.com. An avid GameHouse fan presented the award onstage to the winner, game developer iWin, who took home the trophy for its popular hidden object and match-3 game, Jewel Quest Mysteries - Trail of the Midnight Heart.
"The key to the casual games industry's booming success is the creativity of game developers who are devoted to bringing fun games to players everywhere," said John Barbour, president of GameHouse. "We're honored to work with talented developers from all over the world, and the winners of this year's Great Game Awards represent the top talent in the business."
