TriOviz(R) for Games Adds 3D TV Support for Console Titles

Darkworks Joining the Official PlayStation(R)3 Tools & Middleware Licensee Program; Demos New 3D TV Capabilities at E3 Expo

PARIS and SAN FRANCISCO, July 22, 2010--     Darkworks, the Paris-based Action-Adventure developer, and TriOviz today
announced their TriOviz(R) for Games SDK now supports 3D TV, enabling AAA
console games on these new sets for an even better immersive experience. The
same post-process that facilitates 3D games on regular 2D displays works with
3D TVs using either active shutter or polarized stereoscopic technologies.
The result is one easy-to-implement 3D solution for games across all TVs,
removing confusion over conflicting 3D technologies for developers and
consumers.

"Launching with little support for console games, 3D TVs present a
chicken-and-egg dilemma; consumers are waiting for a critical mass of 3D
content to justify the purchase while developers are waiting for an installed
base of 3D TVs that justifies the development investment," said graphics
technology expert Jon Peddie, president of the Peddie Research Group. "The
TriOviz technology serves as an excellent bridging solution. Developers and
publishers don't have to invest in multiple 3D solutions for multiple
platforms, and consumers can play the same 3D console title on their existing
HDTVs and then on their new 3D TVs."

TriOviz for Games leverages existing three dimensional graphics
information within each game to greatly enhance the depth-of-field. Unlike
other 3D solutions, frames in the game are only rendered once, so there is no
notable performance hit on even the most demanding console games. The SDK
works as a shader in the game engine - supporting popular and proprietary
engines, requiring as little as a couple of days or weeks to implement.

The new 3D TV SDK delivers seamless integration, faster GPU performance
and up to 1080p full HD resolution for console games.

Darkworks announces that it has completed the Tools & Middleware License
Agreement for PlayStation(R)3 with SCEI. An evaluation package of the TriOviz
for Games SDK is now available to registered PlayStation(R)3 developers via
the DevNet website.

"Darkworks is the logical 3D partner for console games publishers, given
its two years of R&D commitment to making quality 3D easy and
performance-effective to adopt across titles and franchises," commented
Alexis Arragon, Product Manager at Darkworks. "Game development and
production budgets are big investments and, with the current lack of
comprehensive 3D standards, it is daunting for top publishers to think about
teams developing support for a all 3D formats. TriOviz for Games SDK offers
one solution for consoles, PC, and 100 percent of consumer television
formats. Teams focused on their milestones can count on the Darkworks team's
support for the 3D implementation, even though QA testing and promotion of
TriOviz-enabled titles."

Key Features of TriOviz for Games SDK

PlayStation(R)3 ; delivering an immersive 3D experience to the most

    - Low-Impact Integration for High-Impact Return: TriOviz for Games
requires minimal man-hours to implement and provides one solution for
all consumers, removing the risk in forecasting 3D technology adoption.

Game of the Year Edition for PlayStation(R)3, shipped in May of this year to
positive reviews; more TriOviz-enabled titles will be announced in the coming
