Advantec Launches Health Reform OnDemand Webinars Series for Employers

TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 10 -- Advantec, an innovative provider of HR, Payroll and Benefits services to small and mid-sized businesses, announced today the release of its Health Reform Webinar series.

The pre-recorded Webinar Series is available OnDemand at: http://www.salesavatar.com/advantec-hr/2010-07-webinars.html and via Advantec's website http://www.advantec-hr.com.

Advantec's Health Reform Webinar series is designed to provide small and mid-sized business owners with important information on how Health Reform impacts them as employers.  The series is presented in three parts:

  1. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: Implementation Timeline for
     Employers
  2. Reporting Requirements Under Health Reform - Avoid Penalties and
     Claiming Credits
  3. Designing Qualified Wellness Programs

Todd York, Advantec's Senior Vice President of Human Resource and Operations, is the primary presenter of the series.  Mr. York has over 20 years of experience as an HR professional and has held the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation with the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) for over 11 years.  As the executive level HR resource for Advantec's clients, he has advised clients of every size up to 2500 employees, representing diverse industries.

The idea for the webinar series emerged from the results of a Small and Medium-sized Business Outlook Survey that Advantec conducted in April of this year.  In questions focusing on health reform, 70% of survey respondents indicated that they had minimal, if any, understanding of what health reform meant for them as employers.

"In looking at the information available on health reform, we found that most of the content offered by subject matter experts did not do enough to parse complex legislation and focus on the changes of greatest significance to the small and mid-sized business employer," said Mr. York.  "We are pleased to be able to present three relevant overviews in areas of importance to that audience."

Because of the company's co-employment relationship with clients, Advantec has examined the impact of health reform from the employer perspective in great detail.  "The nature of our service model requires this level of understanding and having taken the time to develop the expertise, we are pleased to be able to share it with anyone who might benefit," concluded Mr. York.

Each webinar is under 25 minutes and the presentations may be viewed together or separately, based upon attendee preference.
