Aviall, Pentagon 2000 Software Provide Customers With Direct, Instantaneous Access to Parts and Materials
DALLAS, Aug. 24 -- Pentagon 2000 Software, Inc., and Aviall, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, have adopted an agreement for a web services interface that makes Aviall's best-in-class inventory easily accessible for hundreds of Pentagon 2000's aerospace and defense customers. This new system will provide Pentagon customers with a direct web link to Aviall's extensive parts network utilizing the latest technologies resulting in increased efficiency and shorter turnaround time.
"This agreement will provide an important tool for many aviation maintenance facilities," Edward P. Dolanski, Executive Vice President and COO of Aviall, Inc., said. "They will be able to save time and operate more efficiently because Aviall's vast inventory will be just one computer click away."
Customers who have adopted Pentagon 2000's ERP system - including FBOs, MROs and other aviation and defense companies - will have direct, real-time access to Aviall's inventory.
This paperless system is designed to streamline processes for ordering parts and maintaining and repairing aircraft. Current prices, availability and delivery information will be easily accessible 24 hours a day from Aviall.
Gabriel Mofaz, President of Pentagon 2000 said, "Having Aviall's inventory available to our customers right from their Pentagon 2000SQL system will provide a significant savings in time and a great competitive tool for part sourcing and ordering."
