BOULDER, Colo., Aug. 24 -- REO, a leading manufacturer of high volume precision optical solutions, has launched a new website (http://www.reoinc.com) which provides technical reference and educational information on optics and thin film coatings, as well as an overview of the company's own optical fabrication capabilities. Specifically, the new site contains a tutorial on thin film coating technology, and also provides links to background articles that explore key aspects of optical fabrication and coating. It also furnishes comprehensive descriptions and specifications for REO's products, including optics, coatings, optomechanical assemblies and HeNe lasers.
"Our products are employed in a wide range of applications, including semiconductor processing, defense, materials processing and telecommunications," notes Mark Damery, Vice President and General Manager of Worldwide Sales. "However, the engineers that work in these disciplines often aren't familiar with the nuances of optical fabrication, and sometimes aren't aware of the factors that can have a surprisingly big impact on performance, cost and product durability.
