Epson Stylus Pro 900-Series and Exhibition Fiber Paper Help Greg Gorman Display Four Decades of Iconic Personalities

'A Distinct Vision' is on View at Pacific Design Center in California Sept. 15 - Oct. 29, 2010

LONG BEACH, Calif., Sept. 7 -- As the leader in photographic printing technology, Epson is proud to sponsor the upcoming exhibit, "A Distinct Vision" by Greg Gorman, internationally acclaimed photographer best known for his stunning black and white reflections of the most recognized faces in entertainment. Gorman used the industry-leading Epson Stylus® Pro 9900 printer along with the recently introduced Signature Worthy(TM) Exhibition Fiber Paper in rolls to print the exhibition at the Pacific Design Center in California.

"The Epson Stylus Pro 9900 printer and my favorite paper, Exhibition Fiber, provides more tonal control in my black-and-white images and richer blacks than I could ever do in the darkroom," said Gorman. "In addition, new Exhibition Fiber Paper in rolls allowed me to print images for the exhibit up to 40"x60".  In the past, I wasn't able to make prints that large myself, and the quality of the prints at these larger sizes helped me bring my vision for 'A Distinct Vision' to life."

Used by Gorman to print the black-and-white prints on display, the Epson Stylus Pro 9900 incorporates Epson's exclusive advanced black-and-white printing technology - a unique driver technology that takes full advantage of the three-level black ink system to produce prints from color or grayscale image files. This advanced technology provides a consistent print with no color crossover or color cast.

"A Distinct Vision" 1970-2010 is a retrospective exhibition covering four decades of images made by Gorman. The exhibition encompasses the broad range of Gorman's photographic career which includes his iconic images of personalities from the worlds of film, sports and music. Photographs from Gorman's most recent publication "In Their Youth" will also be featured.

The exhibition is on view at the Pacific Design Center, Sept. 15 - Oct. 29, 2010, Monday through Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. For additional information, visit http://www.pacificdesigncenter.com or http://www.faheykleingallery.com
