CTIA-The Wireless Association® Statement on Senate Passage of Small Business Jobs Act
Bill included MOBILE Cell Phone Act of 2009 (S.144) which removes cell phones from IRS listed property rules
WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, CTIA-The Wireless Association® President and CEO Steve Largent released the following statement in response to the U.S. Senate passing the Small Business Jobs Act (H.R. 5297), which included the MOBILE Cell Phone Act of 2009 (S. 144). S.144 removes wireless devices from IRS listed property rules, which means individuals who have a business-provided mobile device are no longer required to record: (1) the amount of such expense or other item; (2) the time and place of the use of the property; (3) the business purpose of the expense; and (4) the business relationship to the taxpayer of the persons using the property.
