Addressing Weaknesses

IT security professionals in the Middle East will be delighted
to learn the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has released the
topics for the Black Hat Abu Dhabi 2010 training sessions. Black Hat Abu
Dhabi is a first time event for the industry leading information security
event series and is happening from the 8th - 11th of November at Emirates
Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority represented by the
UAE Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT), in cooperation with Khalifa
University of Science and Technology with UBM are responsible for bringing
Black Hat to the Middle East. The event gathers together experts and
companies in the IT security field to discuss the latest in IT security
issues, trends, and solutions.

on educating delegates on why it is important to identify and deal with
malware, malware analysis, and counter measures.

"Hacking by Numbers: Bootcamp"; a novice level and highly
practical course that teaches method-based hacker thinking, skills, and
techniques.

hands-on application of wireless hacking methodologies from configuring
interfaces to the latest attacks.

"Hands-On Hardware Hacking and Reverse Engineering Techniques:
Black Hat Edition"; this first-of-its-kind course will focus entirely on
hardware hacking rather than software.

Eng. Tariq Al Hawi, Director of the United Arab Emirates
Computer Emergency Response Team commented "Hacking is one of the most
serious threats to both software and hardware infrastructures which is why it
is important that companies and IT security experts stay up to date on the
latest in hacking techniques and methods. aeCERT is inviting individuals,
companies, government and academia to take part in Black Hat Abu Dhabi in an
effort to do this."

Other sessions include "Real World Security: Attack, Defend,
Repel"; an intensive 2 day course on offensive and defensive security,
"TCP/IP Weapons School 2.0 "; how networks can be abused and subverted, plus
a number of other technical trainings crucial to the IT security industry.
