WCET Partners with Sonic Foundry to Create Hybrid Conference
22nd annual WCET Connect Conference available online via Mediasite
MADISON, Wis., Nov. 23, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sonic Foundry, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOFO), the recognized market leader for rich media webcasting, lecture capture and knowledge management, today announced that WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies (WCET) selected Sonic Foundry to webcast their 22nd Annual Conference.
Using Mediasite to record and archive the sessions is part of a greater initiative by WCET to connect virtual and in-person attendees. All general sessions of the conference were streamed and participants were encouraged to use Twitter to follow the conversation using the hashtag #wcet10.

WCET was founded by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) in 1989 as the Western Cooperative for Educational Telecommunications. These institutions chose to join forces to evaluate and share best practices, knowing the challenges and solutions were bigger than any one institution or state.
