Independa Announces Angel Awards at CES 2011 - Recognizing Extraordinary Caregivers Using Independa Smart Reminders
Most compelling and innovative uses to be recognized
SAN DIEGO, Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Independa(TM), Inc. ("Independa") announced today at CES 2011 the Independa Angel Awards for the most impressive uses of its Smart Reminders(TM) service, the technology-enabled independent living system for family caregivers.
Monthly and annually, an Independa panel of experts will select a caregiver customer demonstrating a compelling and innovative use of Independa Smart Reminders. Anyone who wishes to be considered for this award must submit a one-to-three-minute video that shows or describes how they're using Smart Reminders to help an elderly loved one stay at home longer, safer and more comfortably.
Each monthly award recipient will receive $500 and be recognized on the Independa Web site, along with the submitted video. Runners-up and other top submissions may also be showcased. Monthly award recipients will be eligible for the Independa 2011 Annual Caregiver of the Year Award, whose recipient will receive $5,000 in recognition of superior use of Independa offerings.
Independa Smart Reminders showcase patent-pending Smart Calendar, Medication Reminders and Life Stories services, which connect caregivers with their aging loved ones living independently. Independa provides caregivers ease of mind that their loved ones are living safer, more comfortable and more socially engaged lives while remaining independent. To benefit from Independa, care receivers do not need any computer knowledge - they receive reminders and notifications by telephone.

The touch-screen-tablet interface will communicate with various wireless sensors while providing online reporting and monitoring.
