Total Merchant Services Announces New Smart Phone and BlackBerry® Credit Card Processing
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.,Feb. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Total Merchant Services (TMS), a leading credit and debit card processing service company, has released a new credit card processing program for users of most any Smart Phone or BlackBerry®
The service, provided in partnership with Roampay® includes a small swiping device, provided by the company that plugs into the headphone jack on the phone. This enables the merchant to process the charge as a "qualified" retail transaction since the device reads the card information directly from magnetic strip like traditional credit card machines. Accordingly the merchant pays the lower qualified rate as opposed to the higher rates associated with keyed-entry type transactions. When a charge is submitted and approved, a receipt is automatically sent to the customer's email. The processing gateway provided by Roampay® is secure and is totally PCI-DSS and PA-DSS compliant.
Regional Sales Manager Marc Kenyon commented: "The response to this service has been every positive. For an extra $5 per month our merchants now have the ability to initiate a credit or debit card transaction most anywhere they go without the need to carry a separate wireless credit card machine, or the need to pay for a special wireless data network.
