TopSchool SLM 3.0 Takes Open Architecture SaaS to the Next Level
2011 Advancements Include Modules, Dashboards and Mobile Applications
DENVER, Feb. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TopSchool, a leading SaaS provider of Student Lifecycle Management (SLM) solutions for higher education, has launched TopSchool SLM 3.0, advancing its open architecture platform, increasing scalability to meet customer growth requirements, and delivering the highest level of performance.
"We spent the greater part of 2010 rewriting a significant percentage of our code base in order to create the platform for the future, delivering open architecture Software as a Service functionality, innovation and scalability," said Matthew Schnittman, CEO and Co-Founder of TopSchool. "The demand from larger institutions warranted this investment in our platform - the release of TopSchool SLM 3.0, coupled with the advancements we are adding this year, better aligns our system with our clients' growth goals and secures our competitive advantage."
The system overhaul kicked off last January with the release of TopX(TM), a robust set of Web services that allow schools to quickly create real-time integrations across educational systems. TopSchool SLM 3.0 also integrates with EdExpress, and it includes a simpler UI, flexible term structures and an integrated, customizable online application. As of the winter release, all clients are currently benefiting from the TopSchool SLM 3.0 version.
This new infrastructure will allow TopSchool to continue to offer advanced features and user support. In 2011, TopSchool's updated system will offer colleges and universities:
-- Student Lifecycle Modules: If a college's or university's needs don't
require the complete student lifecycle management system, the flexible
design of the TopSchool system will allow them to take advantage of
singular modules, such as CRM or Placement.
-- Dashboards: The TopView(TM) Reporting & Analytics suite will be offered
along with all modules and will include dashboard views of prospect and
student data. TopSchool will initially launch an Executive Dashboard to
help institutions be more efficient, make better decisions faster and
continuously improve results. Additional dashboards will be rolled out
throughout 2011.
-- Mobile Applications: TopSchool will also enable the launch of mobile
applications across its SLM system. TopSchool's initial entry into
mobile applications will provide self-service functionality to students,
allowing them access to such items as course schedules, grades and
financial accounts.
