Appko Announces Appko Cloud Training - Cisco UCS for Virtual Private Clouds

SAN FRANCISCO, April 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Appko (http://www.appko.com), a Silicon Valley startup, announces the launch of Appko Cloud Training. Appko Cloud is a virtual private cloud (VPC) utilizing Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) and VMware. Appko Cloud Training is a part of a new series of services for organizations looking to adopt cloud computing.
Appko Cloud Training is different because it focuses on hands on deployment of Cisco UCS for technical organizations looking to become experts on cloud computing. Appko Cloud Training provides hands on labs where the students design a real world deployment, physically setup the UCS, and configure it with VMware. This approach is different than typical classroom based training.
Appko Cloud uses best in class technology and architecture for virtual computing. Appko combines Cisco and custom hardware, physical and virtual networks, and software from VMware to create virtual private clouds (VPC).
Appko has created partnerships and an ecosystem necessary to support Cisco UCS based virtual private clouds. Appko Cloud Training has three tiers of classes designed to build upon each other yet provide flexibility for each student to choose their own track. In Tier 1 for example, students can choose either the UCS B Series or C Series hardware.
Upon completion of the curriculum, students will have the skills necessary to deploy and support Cisco UCS based clouds and apply design considerations to achieve real virtual private clouds.
