The Princeton Review Releases SAT® Score Quest App for iPad
NEW YORK, April 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Princeton Review, a national leader in education services and test preparation, today announced its SAT® Score Quest(TM) App for iPad is now available on the App Store. SAT Score Quest is built upon The Princeton Review's 30 years of expertise in preparing college-bound students for the SAT while leveraging the large, high-resolution display and Multi-Touch capabilities of iPad.
The SAT® Score Quest App allows students to select their SAT score goals and take a short assessment designed to diagnose their relative strengths in the Critical Reading, Math and Writing sections of the SAT. Students can then immediately receive a personalized score report which guides their SAT preparation efforts. The app also contains short ShowMe lessons to each SAT problem on the assessment, in which an expert tutor demonstrates The Princeton Review's unique methodology for teaching students to arrive at the right answer as efficiently as possible. These visual lessons include the tutor's handwritten solutions to each question as well as an accompanying spoken explanation.
Additionally, the app allows students to record themselves working through SAT problems, using their finger to virtually write notes and answers on iPad's Multi-Touch display, just as they would write on an SAT test booklet--underlining, drawing diagrams, and crossing out wrong answer choices. Students can then play back these recordings to reinforce what they have learned, or to share these exercises with a parent, teacher or friend.
