AT&T Celebrates New High Tech Bilingual Store in Washington Heights

NEW YORK, Aug. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- To address the growing demand for advanced wireless data products and services, AT&T* announced a grand opening celebration for a new high-tech wireless store in Washington Heights. New York Yankees Second Baseman Robinson Cano attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:15 p.m. on August 11. Cano was also on hand to sign AT&T autograph cards.

"The Washington Heights store is also part of a growing portfolio of Spanish bilingual retail locations in the metro NY area," said Tom DeVito, vice president and general manager for AT&T in New York and New Jersey. "Customers can 'try before they buy' the coolest devices and get assistance in their language of choice."
As part of the grand opening celebration, consumers can check out special discounts including up to $50 off select smartphone devices only at the Washington Heights location from August 11 - August 14.**
Located at 614 West 181st Street near the intersection of Wadsworth Avenue, the store is led by industry veteran Delvyn Fernandez and has a team of eight trained sales consultants; all are bilingual in Spanish and trained to assist customers - both business and consumer - with purchasing decisions, customer service and technical support. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The new Washington Heights store brings the number of AT&T owned locations in Manhattan to 30. There are more than 60 AT&T owned stores in the five boroughs. Across metropolitan New York and northern New Jersey, AT&T has more than 135 AT&T owned locations. AT&T's products and services are also available at a number of authorized dealer and national retail locations.
