Radware Introduces New vDirect Plug-In Joint Solution With VMware vCloud(R) Director

With Radware's vDirect, Organizations Leveraging VMware vCloud(R) Director Suite Will Experience Simpler Provisioning and Full Business Agility

LAS VEGAS, August 29, 2011/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --

    Today at VMworld(R) 2011, Radware [http://www.radware.com ] (NASDAQ:
RDWR), a leading provider of application delivery
[http://www.radware.com/Products/ApplicationDelivery/default.aspx ] and
application security
[http://www.radware.com/Products/ApplicationNetworkSecurity/default.aspx ]
solutions for virtual and cloud data centers announced a powerful, new
solution that allows VMware vCloud(R) Director users to simplify
provisioning of virtual applications (vApps) to include virtual ADC
resources.

Radware's joint solution with VMware, an enhanced version of its
Radware's vDirect(TM)
plug-in, interoperates with VMware vSphere(R) to enable services
provisioning with VMware vCloud Director, allowing VMware vApps users to
provision both application resources and a fully configured Radware virtual
application delivery controller (vADC). Users can utilize the vADC to
enforce VMware vCloud Director organization service level agreements (SLAs).
As a result, VMware vCloud Director users can align vADC provisioning with
tiered SLAs seamlessly and without any adjustment to the vApp.

Radware is providing a demo of the plug-in at its VMworld 2011 booth, #
659.

At the heart of the joint Radware and VMware solution is Radware's
ability to incorporate its vDirect plug-in, its Virtual Application Delivery
Infrastructure (VADI(TM)) and the full Radware application delivery
controller fabric (Radware ADC Fabric(TM)) with VMware vSphere to enable
VMware vCloud Director services. The combination will enable VMware vCloud
Director to automatically expand capacity for applications whenever it's
needed without users having to make adjustments manually.

By combining vDirect -- an ADC management plug-in -- with VMware vCloud
Director, IT managers can provision vApps while also provisioning virtual
application delivery services with the needed capacity according to the
VMware vCloud Director organization SLAs. As a result, vDirect now allows
VMware vCloud Director users to complete the transition of application silos
to fully virtualized application environment, where all layers of the
application are now virtualized as part of the same provisioning and
management paradigm.

"vDirect was specifically designed to provide automation and business
agility for VMware users who wish to apply their Radware application
delivery solution as part of their overall data center management systems."
said Eitan Bremler, Director of Product Marketing, Virtualization and Cloud
at Radware. "These new vDirect capabilities enable organizations to
seamlessly align vADC provisioning with tighter integration in the VMware
vSphere(R) environment, hence alleviating the need to make adjustments to
the vApp in the VMware vCloud Director model," Bremler said.

Additional benefits of the joint solution include:

    - Enhanced tiered services model -Radware's vADCs are
available in a variety of form factors and deployment models to fit any
VMware vCloud Director organization SLA. This allows users to provision
the same vApp in different organizations, and automatically assign the
correct vADC to the vApp according to the organization's SLA.

    - Streamlined provisioning of application delivery services -
IT managers will save time, have fewer steps and simplify the way they
interoperate, define, and consume a new virtual application, which also
      includes an application delivery service.

    - Maximum agility, efficiency, and business continuity
-Packaging a vADC as part of a vApp helps bridge the gap between the
virtual application and the network. This ensures each virtual
application receives the correct application delivery service per SLA,
and in case an application is migrated between organizations, ensures
the vADC is migrated with it.

"Radware vDirect integrates with VMware vSphere(R) to provide customers
a transparent and seamless way to align Radware's ADC fabric with VMware
vCloud(R) Director," said Dan Chu, Vice President, Cloud Infrastructure and
Services, VMware. "VMware vCloud Director end users - especially those
incorporating a -cloud and IT-as-a-Service (ITaaS) strategy - will benefit
from vDirect as they can use the solution to accelerate the delivery and
consumption of virtual IT services and deploy workloads on shared
infrastructure with maximum agility."

Radware's vDirect plug-in consists of a library of work flows for
creating services and new vADC instances so customers won't have to. A key
component of Radware's VADI strategy, vDirect is designed to complement
virtualized environments using VMware cloud infrastructure and management
solutions, by delivering ADC services as part of the virtualized data center
and cloud. Radware VADI enables the consolidation and virtualization of
application delivery services as an integral part of VMware orchestration
and provisioning systems, resulting in savings in reduced operation and
capital expenses, increased resilience, and enhanced business agility.

Availability of the vDirect plug-in is scheduled for the fourth quarter
2011. For more information, visit Radware at: http://www.radware.com.
