CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Heavy Reading (http://www.heavyreading.com), the market research division of the Light Reading Communications Network (http://www.lrcn.com), is pleased to announce the launch of the Ethernet Executive Council. The Council is an exciting initiative that establishes a value-rich community of industry thought leaders, with the goal of strengthening information sharing among service provider experts and providing analytical insights that can help accelerate carrier Ethernet-related market growth. The program is being supported by network solutions providers, including Platinum sponsor Overture Networks, Gold sponsor Telco Systems and others.

"The creation of the Ethernet Executive Council is Heavy Reading's way of honoring individuals who have demonstrated industry leadership and a personal commitment to advancing the use of high-performance Ethernet services and technologies for the benefit of retail, wholesale and consumer customers," said Stan Hubbard, Senior Analyst at Heavy Reading and the head of the Ethernet Executive Council program. "Among other things, the program will provide Council members with exclusive networking, speaking and LRTV interview opportunities at Light Reading's Ethernet-related events, the chance to participate in Heavy Reading Q&A interview columns published on Light Reading sites, and access to valuable state-of-the-industry and enterprise end-user survey-based reports."
