Renren Xiaozhan Light Blogging Service Officially Launched
BEIJING, Sept. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Renren Inc. (NYSE: RENN) ("Renren" or the "Company"), China's leading real-name social networking internet platform, announced today the official launch of Renren Xiaozhan (zhan.renren.com), a light blogging service that further expands the Company's array of social networking offerings.
Renren Xiaozhan, which means "station" in Chinese, offers innovative ways for users to communicate and share videos, music, photos, and other social content. As the light blogging extension of Renren.com's social networking services, Xiaozhan is tailored towards white collar professionals. Users have instant access to a broad spectrum of interest groups, including photography, fashion, travel, design, movies, among others. Xiaozhan blogs can be easily customized for creative multimedia posts which allow users with common interests to identify each other and share content, generating new social networking relationships.
Concurrent with the launch of Renren Xiaozhan, Renren has also formed strategic partnerships with a number of leading market players, including Xinhua Ruide (a subsidiary of Xinhua News Agency), the British Embassy in Beijing, TRENDS Media Group, New World Department Store China and China Portrait Photography Society.
