MOG's Monthly Average Users Grow 264% in October 2011
One Month After Launching Facebook Integration MOG Shows Significant Growth Well Beyond That of Other Music Subscription Services
BERKELEY, Calif., Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MOGĀ® today announced that its monthly average users have reached 160,000, up 264% for the month of October. This growth follows the launch of MOG's Facebook Integration at the end of September, and is significantly greater than the rate of growth of other music subscription services also integrated with Facebook Platform.
In September, MOG launched a free version of its award-winning, on-demand music service giving music lovers instant access through Facebook to MOG's entire catalog of over 13 million songs, nearly everything you'd find in popular music download stores, making it the easiest way to enjoy music with no installable client application and no credit card needed. The exposure to Facebook's over 800 million active users has spurred huge growth, and if these rates continue, it is projected that MOG could have over two million monthly users by the end of 2011.
"This is the best distribution platform we've ever had," said David Hyman, CEO and Founder of MOG. "Listening to music is a social experience and integrating MOG with Facebook has allowed listeners to share the experience, and our service, with their entire social network. We have a great product and as more and more people continue to discover MOG online, we expect our numbers to continue to grow exponentially."
According to appdata.com, MOG has grown 264% over the past 30 days with 33% growth over the last week, gaining traction much faster than competitors like Rdio, which saw 64% MAU growth over the last 30 days and Spotify, which experienced a 35% increase.
