The once mighty analog method of film is quickly becoming extinct. Naa, but the sales of th digital counterparts had a nice increase last year.

Sales of digital cameras that have an LCD viewing screen hit 10 million units for the year, compared with 6.5 million units in 2002, according to a report from research firm IDC. Strong holiday demand pushed sales for the fourth quarter to 4 million units, compared with about 2.8 million units in the fourth quarter of 2001.
