Worldwide PC shipments are expected to reach 136 million units this year, up 10.6% from 123 million last year, helped largely by PC replacement demand from companies in the second half of the year, according to Japan-based market research firm Nikkei Market Access (Nikkei MA). At the same time, notebook computers continue to see rising popularity, with shipments expected to account for 22.7% of PC shipments this year, Nikkei MA projects.
