Stannah Stairlift Launch Very First Twitter RT Advent Calendar
LONDON, December 1, 2011/PRNewswire/ --
Stannah Stairlifts are due to launch their upcoming 'Twitter Advent Calendar
[http://bit.ly/stannahtwitter ]' promotion on Dec 1st, 2011. The campaign aims to bring
Christmas to Twitter, offering Stannah fans the opportunity to win "stocking filler"
prizes on a daily basis. This is believed to be the first time a nationwide company has
used such an idea on the popular social networking site.
Stannah will be tweeting an Advent Calendar status every morning, informing twitter
users of the prize for that day. To be in for a chance of winning one of the daily prizes,
followers are being asked to simply follow Stannah on Twitter [@stairlifts_uk
[http://bit.ly/stannahtwitter ]] and retweet the original tweet. A winner will then be
randomly and notified the following day.
The daily entertainment based prizes are specifically chosen for the Stannah family
audience, ensuring to cater to different age ranges and demographics. The early advent
prizes include CDs from platinum selling artists such as Adele, Take That and Beyonce, as
well as Christmas themed DVDs including The Nightmare Before Christmas, A Very Glee
Christmas, and Gavin & Stacey: A Christmas Special. Keeping within the family theme of
Stannah, the campaign also includes children's classics, Ice Age, Fantastic Mr Fox, and
Mrs Doubtfire, as well as family favourites such as Casino Royale, Love Actually, and The
Italian Job. On top of all these great audio and visual Christmas treats, Stannah are also
giving away Thorntons chocolates.
The final Christmas treat giveaway will be a deluxe Harry Potter Complete 8-Film
Collection DVD Box Set on December 24th 2011. Fans of the movie will know this is a
limited release, with restricted numbers being made available worldwide.
Alongside the Twitter Advent Calendar, Stannah Stairlifts will also be running a
weekly Facebook Christmas Competition [http://on.fb.me/stannah ] for fans of the page to
win a Stannah-branded stocking, alongside themed weekly prizes. These themes consist of
music, food, gaming, and general hobby related prizes alongside Amazon, HMV, and Marks &
Spencers gift vouchers.
Stannah knows that everybody is likely to know somebody who has had experience with
limited mobility, and are working to break down negative perceptions of owning mobility
aids. Stannah is a family company founded over 140 years ago; still based in Britain but
famous around the world for lifts and stairlifts, which give people invaluable freedom,
independence and safer enjoyment of their own homes.
