Keep Those New Year's Resolutions at CES: Sports, Fitness & Outdoor Summit Features Latest Gadgets to Keep You Moving

NEW YORK, Dec. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Don't forget your resolution to get fit when you step off the plane in Las Vegas! At this year's Sports, Fitness and the Outdoors Summit and Expo produced by Living in Digital Times and taking place at the 2012 International CES January 10-13, the hottest innovators of high-tech gear will demonstrate how you can keep those New Year's resolutions. The Sports & Fitness Tech Summit takes place January 10 at 9:00am in room N256 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Celebrity fitness guru Jillian Michaels will deliver the keynote address at 10:30am.

Highlights of the Sports & Fitness Tech Expo include a bevy of body-monitoring equipment: activity-tracking armbands; waterproof mp3 players; GPS-enabled HD cameras; high-tech heart monitors; gesture recognition and full-body tracking user interfaces for games and sports; high-tech goggles that measure and track statistics; and a few surprise announcements.

"Who knew that CES would be THE place to see the latest in fitness innovations," said Julie Sylvester, co-producer of the Sports & Fitness Tech Summit.  "This year's Sports & Fitness Tech Expo is twice as large as last year, and three times as exciting, showing off the coolest new ways to play, train, and stay active."

The Fitness Tech conference agenda will feature thought-leaders who will discuss hot trends like location-based services, gaming systems and performance trackers and body sensors. New companies like BASIS and Striiv, along with updates from last year's innovators, Body Media and Fitbit, will be featured along with new technology from Valencell, Polk Audio, and Polar. Whether you are a professional athlete, weekend warrior or gym rat, the Sports & Fitness Tech conference will feature upcoming trends that will show you how to improve your workout.
