Lighting Icons Swarovski and Schonbek to Sparkle at Dallas International Lighting Market, January 2012
Experience Swarovski Lighting Centerpieces and Icons In Crystal and Light By Swarovski and Schonbek
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y., Jan. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dallas International Lighting Market, January 19-23 in Dallas, TX, offers lighting professionals the opportunity to see firsthand the stunning splendor of crystal and light that the Swarovski Lighting Business, with exclusively featured brands Swarovski and SchonbekĀ®, has created. These two iconic brands will celebrate their most iconic creations in the new, joint showroom - a dramatic 9,000-square-foot space designed in collaboration with tvsdesign - that offers the perfect setting to experience all of the new-world innovation and old-world craftsmanship that the two brands bring to each of their premium crystal lighting products.

On prominent display will be SWAROVSKI LIGHTING CENTERPIECES, a line of signature luminaires completely manufactured by Swarovski and fashioned by esteemed designers that have redefined the traditional chandelier, setting new standards and concepts in motion to create the perfect symbiosis of crystal and light in a new, six-product lighting series.<s> </s>
Each piece in this collection has a modernist sensibility and a sculptural quality that breaks fresh ground in lighting design and is fitting to a variety of spaces and style preferences.
On exhibit will be Todd Bracher's minimalist 'Strandelier' alongside the cunningly constructed, yet elusive, 'Deconstruct'. The crystalline purity of nature is laid bare in 'Crystalline Icicles' by S. Russell Groves, while Andre Kikoski's 'ReveaLED' stuns with its otherworldly glow. Stephen Burks's 'Inside/Out' achieves a reductive elegance, as the expressionist 'Crystal Empire' surprises with its reinterpretation of the classic chandelier, harnessing crystal with leather strapping.
Hailed in Milan in 2011 at Euroluce, the premier international lighting show, these original lighting products are now available to the trade and consumers in North America.
Also on view at the showroom will be the Schonbek 2012 Product Collection featuring both new products and line expansions across a range of traditionally rooted and for-today product categories. Of special note will be additions to the Ekaterina line. A finalist in the 23rd Annual ARTS Award in 2011, Schonbek submitted Ekaterina. Revered for its exquisite jewelry-like detail, as well as its perfect balance of delicacy and sumptuous beauty, Ekaterina is a fitting tribute to its namesake, Catherine the Great.
The complete Swarovski and Schonbek collections will be on display, together, at the new Dallas showroom, suite 4926. Recognized throughout the world for a long-standing, rich history rooted in Bohemia and cutting-edge innovation in design, each distinctive brand will celebrate its past and its progression through its most iconic lighting products, such as Blossom from the Swarovski Crystal Palace Collection and Trilliane by Schonbek, in concert with many other iconic creations by the brands. Invited guests will enjoy all of these shimmering pieces at the "Iconic Glamour" cocktail reception on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Be enchanted by the sparkling world that is Swarovski.
Swarovski Lighting Business is headquartered in Plattsburgh, NY. Schonbek has been a member of the Swarovski Company since 2007.
