Celsya's New Features Make Caregiving Easier

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Millions of caregivers struggle with the burden of caring for their loved ones while juggling their own life and work. This leads to deterioration in health and loss of income to the caregiver and a cost to the economy of nearly three trillion dollars, according to a study by MetLife. Celsya has just launched new features that aim to lift the burden and make life easier for the caregiver.

Eran Weinberg experienced this for himself while he was a student and part-time caregiver for his grandmother. Weinberg created L.A.-based Celsya, Inc. (http://www.celsyalife.com), an online and mobile ecosystem to improve the lives of caregivers and their loved ones. "Celsya is the only system that combines the ability to minimize the burden of caregiving while providing tools to improve the health of the caregivers and the ones they look after," said Weinberg, Founder and CEO of Celsya. "My personal experience played a large role in creating a user-friendly system that merges three essential tools identified by caregiver organizations."

The key features are:

--  Care Management - Arranging rides to doctor's appointments, meal
delivery and managing medications are a few of the many time consuming
and exhausting tasks caregivers need to coordinate. Celsya reduces the
burden by allowing families and friends to create a social care team to
share responsibilities, keep everyone up to date, create tasks, and
schedule events. Celsya can also send medication and appointment
        reminders via text or email.
--  Personal Health Tools - Maintaining an updated account of personal
health information and vital signs are essential to a successful
continuum of care. Celsya allows patients and caregivers alike to manage
and store health information in one secure and convenient location. The
easy tools allow caregivers to track a trend of weight, blood pressure
activity, moods and more. They can also store a log of medications,
conditions, and allergies which can be printed and taken to their
        physicians.
--  Peace of Mind - In the event of an emergency, Celsya can provide first
responders with a patient's medical history. Celsya's ID keytag has an
SMS identification number that medics can use to receive updated health
information and automatically notify family at the same time.
Celsya is currently offering its services for free for a limited time.
