Base One Now Shipping Data Access Components for .NET Framework 4.0 and Enterprise Library 5.0
NEW YORK, March 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Base One International has released B1Framework (B1F), a collection of reusable .NET components for building web, back office, and desktop database applications. The common data access layer and other core parts of B1F make it easier to write high performance, database-agnostic programs, and they provide a solid foundation for developing scalable commercial services. Based on Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 and Enterprise Library 5.0 Application Blocks, B1Framework adds indispensable components for database access, logging, validation, caching, exception management, and security.

"The B1Framework (B1F) data access component provides a flexible platform-neutral data access layer for both client/server and n-tier architectures for SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2," said Andrew Brust, CEO of Blue Badge Insights and contributing editor to Visual Studio Magazine. "The strength of the data access layer lies in its ability to provide reusable multithreaded services on any platform. For example, its paging service generates SQL statements that return just the desired page of interest from what could otherwise be a very large result set." He added, "B1F's platform-neutral data access component is flexible, robust, well-written and extensively commented."
B1Framework is delivered with full source code through the Essential Software Library, an online publication of developer tools, hosted by Content Galaxy. Subscribers also gain access and single developer licenses to a number of other valuable products, including the full line of Base One products for Visual Studio development - for a flat annual subscription price.
"Anyone building commercial web sites using Microsoft's latest technologies has to grapple with the challenge of designing a satisfactory data access layer," said Steven Asherman, President and Chief Technology Officer of Base One. "I have no doubt that developers facing this problem will find that even a brief examination of B1Framework easily recoups their investment in a subscription to Essential Software Library."
