Learning A-Z launched its first website, Reading A-Z, in 2002, with the sole purpose of making teachers' lives better by providing a large collection of high quality, easy-to-access resources for differentiated instruction -- all at a low cost. At that time, Reading A-Z consisted of about 150 leveled readers, some phonics lessons and other assorted resources. Today, the site has grown to nearly 1,000 leveled readers, along with activity sheets, graphic organizers, quizzes, and much more. The company also offers projectable and eBook versions of all the leveled books and quizzes, and has added five websites, including the popular Raz-Kids reading site for students, Science A-Z and Writing A-Z.
The collection of products is not all that has grown; so has the usage. Within 10 years, Learning A-Z gained users in more than half the school districts in the United States, every Canadian province and more than 155 countries around the world.
"We have teachers to thank for all of this," said Bob Holl, co-founder and publisher of Learning A-Z. "It is only through the support and valuable input of them that our phenomenal growth has been possible."
