Projective Globe Releases First Collaborative DJ App
ORANGE, Calif., March 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Projective Globe has brought DJ'ing from a solo platform to a social platform with their newly released Phonogram app for iOS device users. This first-of-its-kind interactive social music app allows multiple individuals to create a collaborative playlist at social gatherings, competing for the most "likes" from listeners. Party host easily creates a custom room in Phonogram and guests can queue songs from their own iOS device to the host queue. As the music is played, all participants can "like" or "dislike" individual tracks, earning individual DJs points for their playlist additions and skipping a song that is disliked by majority of voters. Participants are also able to post song information to social platforms like Facebook and Twitter, plus have the option to buy and download their favorite tracks through iTunes while it's playing.
Phonogram features a short set of music room properties for the host to set up, and makes it easy for participants to queue, play, and vote on tracks. Simply plug speakers into the host iPad, iPhone or iPod touch to play music from host playlist and queued songs by all DJs. The host device cycles through the playlist, playing one song from each DJ until all songs are played or skipped by participants. Phonogram requires WiFi or a Bluetooth network to exchange encrypted data between a host device and other devices. This exchange is the first-of-its-kind, making Phonogram a one-of-a-kind app for music lovers.
