EB Updates Defense Product Portfolio With New EB Tough VoIP Desktop and Field Phone
EB Tactical Communications Product Portfolio is Strengthened with the next Generation of Field and Desktop Phone at Defense Services Asia (DSA)
OULU, Finland, April 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- EB (Elektrobit) today announced updates to its EB Tough VoIP(TM) product portfolio with the next generation of EB Tough VoIP Field Phone and EB Tough VoIP Desktop Phone. These rugged products enable militaries to bring broadband voice and data connectivity to the field, vehicles and command posts.

As part of the EB Tough VoIP product portfolio, the EB Tough VoIP Field Phone and Desktop Phone can be seamlessly integrated to customers' existing communications infrastructure. Their rugged design enhances their ability to provide reliable VoIP services when faced with demanding conditions, enabling militaries to gain new and improved operational capabilities. These devices come equipped with the flexibility required to meet military-customer-specific requirements.

-- Improved usability with new keypad, UI and wall mounting capability.
-- Completely new mechanical construction for reduced weight and improved
durability
-- New connector options to allow better configuration for all users and
applications
EB Tough VoIP Field Phone and EB Tough VoIP Desktop Phone are both equipped with an integrated speaker and Ethernet connectivity. EB Tough VoIP Field Phone is also equipped with SHDSL connectivity. The units can be configured to have e.g. optical Ethernet connectivity.
At the Defense Services Asia (DSA) tradeshow (stand 3007) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the 16-19 of April, EB will present its Tough VoIP product family, EB Tactical Wireless IP Network for Tactical Communications, EB Wideband COMINT Sensor for Signals Intelligence and EB Counter RCIED Platform for Electronic Warfare.
