Finding Small Business Funding Just Got Easier
New Online Platform Helps Small Businesses Tap into Seemingly Unlimited Financing Options
CHICAGO, April 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- FundWell has announced the launch of http://www.thefundwell.com, a new online resource that matches small businesses seeking funding with a growing number of grant, loan and other financing options. Thefundwell.com also offers news and advice from business and finance experts to help business owners with less than $25 million in annual revenue achieve their financing goals.
TheFundWell.com is the first of its kind technology platform to provide 22 types of public and private financing options to its users. After creating an online profile, business owners will be matched to the financing options that best fit their company's needs.
"Funding is crucial to any company's survival. Access to capital is what enables a business to grow and keeps people employed. When money is short or tight it can stop an entrepreneur cold," said Chinwe Onyeagoro, Co-Founder and CEO of FundWell. "Thefundwell.com is designed to help address inefficiencies in how growing businesses find and obtain a portion of the trillion plus dollars of government and private funding that's available in a quick, easy and concise manner. Without financing a company can't survive. We wanted to remove that obstacle."
According to data collected by the Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy in 2009, there were an estimated 27.5 million small businesses in the United States which employed approximately half of all private sector employees. Without funding those statistics would be drastically different.
"Small businesses are the economic engines that grow our economy," said Sharon E. Jones, Co-Founder and President of Fundwell. "Over 65% of net new jobs come from small businesses. Overcoming financing obstacles will enable business owners to focus on growing their business which will help get our economy back on track. As small business owners we realized that it can be intimidating to try to obtain financing so we created thefundwell.com to help put our users in touch with the right financing resources."
FundWell is a quick, easy and free resource to help alleviate some of the frustration associated with locating financing. Business owners nationwide can access the FundWell at http://www.thefundwell.com.
