Verizon Wireless Is Bringing the Power of its 4G LTE Network to Sandusky, Ohio
SANDUSKY, Ohio, April 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless today announced it is bringing the nation's largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to Sandusky on April 19. With the 4G LTE network, customers can use 4G LTE wireless devices in Sandusky to access the Internet faster; listen to music or watch video on their phones; use thousands of apps; and stay in touch with family and friends, all with speeds up to 10 times faster than before.
Verizon Wireless launched 4G LTE service at Cedar Point Amusement Park last year. When Verizon Wireless turns on its 4G LTE network in Sandusky, customers who live or visit areas including Danbury Township, Mineyahta-on-the-Bay, Sandusky Bay, Johnsons Island, NASA Plum Brook Station, and the towns of Grand Forest Beach and Castalia will also have access to the nation's fastest 4G network.

In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.
