Hertz NeverLostĀ® Launches 11 New My Explore(TM) Travel Apps
Denver, Wine Country, Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans Slated for Mid-June Release
PLANO, Texas, May 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Navigation Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hertz Corporation, is debuting custom iPhone city travel apps under the Hertz NeverLostĀ® My Explore(TM) brand for Dallas-Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami-West Palm, New York, Sacramento-Northern California, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Boston and Washington, D.C., with five new cities on the drawing board.
Denver, Wine Country, Detroit, Chicago and New Orleans are slated for a mid-June release, bringing the total number of My Explore apps to 17. The first city app is free, with additional cities available through an in-app download for 99 cents each.
Business or leisure travelers can search each app city's customized content and use cutting-edge technology to plan trips and explore cities in a fun and unexpected way.
The app features augmented reality, customized voice narratives and text descriptions for must-see sites, tours, shopping, neighborhoods, favorites and restaurants, 5-day weather forecasts, and a way to share your experience via Facebook and Twitter. A simple click of the app launches six categories: Explore/Top Must See/Events/Favorites/Tours and Neighborhoods.
