Clipboard Announces Public Availability, New Features Set

Content curation platform using unique technology to help users get things done

BELLEVUE, Wash., June 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Clipboard, the best way to save and share anything online, announced it is now publicly available to anyone - across the globe. A virtual archive in the content curation and visual social media space, Clipboard allows users to clip, save and share text, images and virtually anything else from around the Web - either publicly, privately or in select groups. The company opened its platform to the public today after eight months of user testing and increased user engagement.

As part of its public availability to the ever-expansive online community, Clipboard has also announced several product and feature updates that enhance its already unique set of offerings and functionality including:

--  Boards - Users can now have collections of their clips created
automatically based on the way each clip is tagged. Users can
personalize each board with its own title, be publicly or privately
viewed, and be individually liked (via Facebook) or tweeted.
--  Developer and Publisher Tools - Clipboard now allows people to embed a
Clipboard button on their website allowing visitors (with or without a
Clipboard account) to easily capture part of a page with a single click.
--  People - Users can connect their Clipboard account to other social
networks, invite and import friends, follow people and topics, view who
follows them, and get recommendations on other new users to follow.
--  Likes - It's now easy to see what clips you, and others, have liked on
Clipboard.  Privacy is a top priority for Clipboard, so only clips that
are liked and public are revealed.
"Clipboard was invented to solve the problem of having no seamless way to save content from the Internet," said Gary Flake, founder and CEO of Clipboard. "People want to take a snapshot of the parts of the internet that they care about. Now, with Clipboard, users can collect the breadcrumbs of their digital life. Clipboard is social media with a purpose."

Opening up its unique capabilities and functionality to the entire online community, Clipboard provides a solution to people seeking new ways to organize and drive their busy lives forward.
