Universal Business Listing Launches UBL Direct For Rapid Profile Updates On Key Search Engines And Directories

UBL service provides a direct connection to manage local search listings for businesses

CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Business Listing today introduced UBL Direct, a service which will rapidly update business profiles on dozens of important search engines and directories.

UBL Direct uses automated connections such as APIs (application programming interfaces) and other methods to deliver enhanced profiles directly from the businesses to publishers through an enhanced profile management dashboard. This speeds the publishing process.

UBL Direct is to be a feature of the existing listing syndication packages and replaces its Quick Listing manual service. The UBL Direct API is free to authorized publishers.

UBL has helped thousands of businesses take control of their online listings and secure a consistent, compelling presence across the landscape of local search. It is the leading service of its kind, operating in the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Users create rich and detailed business profiles including contact information, web address, social links, products and services, hours, credit cards, coupon and deal links, photos, logos, and more.

UBL Direct is a complement to the current syndication to data feed providers which already reaches hundreds of search, social and mobile publishers. The new feed also expands UBL's distribution to new data providers reaching hundreds of vertical directories and mobile applications.

Citations on these sites increase the overall prominence of a business listing online, for local search optimization. UBL also offers optimized profile creation on sites like Google Places, Google + and Facebook, as well as detailed reporting on listing presence, visibility and now data from UBL Direct publishers.

Some of the Direct partners either currently active or about to go live include:
