NComputing Expands Presence in Japan With Breakthrough Thin Clients for HDX

TOKYO, July 18, 2012/PRNewswire/ --

    - Achieves First to Market with Next-Generation Citrix HDX Ready SoC-Enabled
      Devices
    - Breaks Endpoint Price/Performance Barriers to Citrix Deployments: XenApp,
      XenDesktop and VDI-in-a-Box

NComputing, the world leader in end-to-end desktop virtualization solutions, today
announced it is expanding its presence in Japan and bring its N-series solutions to this
important market of Citrix users and partners. The company is launching the industry's
first purpose-built line of Citrix HDX Ready SoC-enabled thin clients into the Japan
market during Citrix iForum Japan the week of July 16, 2012. The N-series is poised to
break historic price/performance barriers for HDX-capable virtual desktop endpoints in
Citrix environments. It will allow customers to deploy far more virtual seats or use the
savings for other IT priorities. The products will be available for enterprise customers
through specialist Citrix resellers and System Integrators. NComputing recently signed an
agreement with MP Technologies?

Said Michael King, President and Representative Director, Citrix Systems Japan K.K,
"Transformation in cloud computing and mobile work styles is happening at an unprecedented
pace. NComputing will help enterprises rapidly expand desktop virtualization deployments
and deliver a superior high-definition HDX experience for users. NComputing's HDX-capable
solutions will give Citrix customers in Japan powerful new thin clients for their virtual
desktop environments at a new price/performance standard."

A June 2012 survey of resellers worldwide[1] outlined that the cost of hardware to
support desktop virtualization is now a top-3 enabler of demand, along with mobility and
ease of provisioning. As the first purpose-built HDX SoC devices available, the NComputing
N-series is poised to meet this demand by offering unparalleled price/performance, a
PC-like user experience, simple plug-and-play deployment, and powerful centralized
management tools. Powered by NComputing's own third-generation Numo(TM) 3 System-on-Chip
(SoC), N-series devices exclusively support Citrix XenDesktop(R), Citrix XenApp(TM) and
Citrix VDI-in-a-Box(TM) deployments with rich multimedia using less than 5 watts of power.
NComputing's vSpace Management Center console allows customers to quickly and easily
deploy, operate, and manage thousands of secure devices across a distributed organization.

Said Naohiro Sato, CEO, MP Technologies, "By offering a compelling choice,
NComputing's HDX/SoC products will help us grow and enhance Citrix deployments for our
customers. By embedding HDX support directly into the NComputing SoC-design, thin client
customers can now deploy an attractive, high-performance alternative for their end point
computing devices without compromise. With NComputing, we can give customers a
breakthrough solution from a vendor with proven capability to deliver high quality and
responsive support."

Said Raj Dhingra, CEO, NComputing "We are excited to expand our presence in Japan.
This is a rich and diverse market with a global reputation for accepting only the highest
performance products and services. We believe our unique position of delivering the most
advanced, high performance and low cost desktop computing solutions will be well received
by enterprise customers."

NComputing is delivering two thin clients architected for specific classes of users.
The N400 is primarily aimed at task workers with video resolution needs up to 1920x1080
and on-board graphics acceleration. The more powerful N500, targeted at knowledge workers
and those using higher-end applications, adds full HD 1080p client-side rendering and
options for dual monitors and factory-installed Wi-Fi connectivity. Unlike any other
provider, NComputing provides the entire technology stack in partnership with Citrix,
including the silicon, firmware, device design, management, and ongoing support.

Already ranked #1 in enterprise client devices in Asia Pacific by IDC, NComputing
expects to accelerate this leadership through its expansion into Japan's enterprise
market.
