Findings from a recent survey conducted by Electric Cloud of more than 730 applications development and operations professionals indicate that 75 percent of today's application deployments are done manually or with little automation.  70 percent of respondents stated that their deployments take more than one day, while 50 percent acknowledged completely missing release dates due to deployment complexity and lack of coordination between their development and operations teams. The survey also found that more than 70 percent of application deployments occur in development, QA, and pre-production environments before being deployed into production environments.
