Nikon Launches Flagship COOLPIX Digital Compact Camera P7700

- All-New COOLPIX S-Series Models including Android(TM) OSequipped S800c
Nikon Corporation launched the COOLPIX line's newest and most advanced model today,
the P7700, a high-performance digital compact camera loaded with the company's best
imaging technology and functions. Users will enjoy full-scale manual photography on par
with digital-SLR cameras and can brush up on their techniques, as well as explore system
expansion. Three cutting-edge COOLPIX S-series models were also launched today, which give
users an unprecedented digital camera experience through the perfect combination of
advanced technology and ultra-stylish design. The S6400 is slim and features a
high-powered zoom operated via a built-in touch panel, the S800c is Wi-Fi(R) compatible
and equipped with the Android(TM) OS and the S01 is the most compact and lightest COOLPIX
model in history.
The successor to the P7100, the P7700 offers several key advances over its
predecessor, including faster continuous shooting and enhanced image quality when shooting
at high sensitivities. Highlights include a large 1/1.7-inch Backside illumination CMOS
image sensor and a high-speed 7.1X optical zoom NIKKOR lens with an effective 12.2-million
pixel count. In addition, the built-in Lens-shift vibration reduction (VR) Image
stabilisation function increases the range of imaging possibilities with the camera
performing equally well when snapping beautiful still images or recording crisp and clear
full-HD movies in dark or dimly lit surroundings.
The S800c is Nikon's pioneering new way for users to enjoy and share digital
photography with others via the Internet. In addition to superior basic camera
performance, using the S800c is similar in feeling to operating and communicating with a
smartphone (except there is no phone function); an all-in-one product for shooting,
viewing, connecting, and enjoying.
Featuring built-in Wi-Fi(R) compatibility, this camera is on par with and exceeds a
smartphone in many ways. The S800c can connect wirelessly to the Internet for easy
uploading of stunning images and vivid videos (in full-HD 1080p format) to social
