Customers In Merced, California, Can Soon Enjoy The Nation's Largest 4G LTE Network From Verizon Wireless

Company's 4G LTE Enables Innovative 4G LTE Devices and Solutions

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Sept. 7, 2012  /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless customers will soon be able to experience the speed and capabilities of America's largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in Merced, when the company introduces the network here in the coming weeks.  With the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, customers can experience innovative technology in their everyday lives through solutions such as HomeFusion(?) Broadband, viewdini and more, all made possible by 4G LTE. 

Currently, the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network covers more than 75 percent of the U.S. population in 371 markets across the United States.  When Verizon Wireless 4G LTE launches in Merced, customers who visit or live in areas including downtown Merced, Castle Air Force Base, UC Merced at Yosemite Lake, downtown Chowchilla, downtown Dos Palos, and downtown Los Banos will be able to surf the Web, stream live music and video, and stay in touch with family and friends at speeds up to 10 times faster than before. Service will extend along Highway 152 West of Hwy 99.

On the go customers can watch movies, television shows and other video content on 4G LTE smartphones and tablets with applications like Viewdini.  Viewdini brings the power of Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network to the screen by streamlining access to videos from a wide range of content providers, including cable operators, websites and other popular video sources.  Customers also can take advantage of 4G LTE-optimized applications like Color to share live video broadcasts of life's special moments with their Facebook(®) friends.  Sharing live video with audio is an exclusive feature of the Color app on Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network.

HomeFusion Broadband is another solution made possible by the power and speed of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.  Using the 4G LTE network, HomeFusion Broadband delivers high-speed, in-home Internet access for residential broadband, particularly where Internet options are limited or are not currently available.
