GameHouse Expands Games Portfolio to New Amazon Kindle Family of Devices

Publishers of Collapse!, Doodle Jump and other hit games reaches more players on one of the hottest tech gifts this holiday

SEATTLE, Sept. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In time for the holidays, GameHouse announced today that its flagship Collapse! and Doodle Jump game franchises are coming to the new Amazon Kindle Fire. Additionally, GameHouse will be launching their popular TextTwist word game for the first time for millions of Amazon Kindle E Ink customers.  Amazon unveiled its latest Kindle devices to the world last week featuring applications from selected developers and publishers including GameHouse.

GameHouse, a Seattle-based game company, has one of the largest portfolios of casual games for social and mobile platforms including tablets like the Kindle Fire. Following the wildly successful release of Doodle Jump on the first version of Kindle Fire, a new installment of the game has been optimized for Amazon's latest tablet, the Kindle Fire HD that will ship to homes on September 14 starting at $299. Doodle Jump, one of the most successful casual games of all time and one of the top 20 paid apps on the Amazon Appstore for Android, can be downloaded directly from the Amazon Appstore here.

As part of a larger effort to bring fun, classic games to the hands of more people, GameHouse has also released a Kindle Fire edition of Collapse! that incorporates Amazon's GameCircle features for the first time. Collapse!, an award-winning match-three title, is one of GameHouse's most distributed franchises and has provided the company with a strategic blueprint for developing and publishing games across multiple platforms.

"Over the years, we've had the privilege to watch our Collapse! franchise successfully grow from a web-based title into a multi-platform game experience that touches all the hottest devices this holiday, including the latest Kindle Fire," said Matt Hulett, President of GameHouse. "Kindle Fire is an ideal gift for moms on the go who like to play a few games of Collapse! or Doodle Jump in between the kid's soccer game and dinner."

GameHouse is also announcing the upcoming Kindle E Ink version of TextTwist, the award-winning puzzler that has become one of the most popular word games of all time.  Kindle enthusiasts will enjoy unscrambling thousands of word combinations in this family-friendly, addictive game on all Kindle touch devices, including the new Kindle available for $69, and the Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Paperwhite 3G.

Forrester Research estimates that United States tablet sales will hit 35 million this year, up by 68 percent from last year. According to Amazon, Kindle Fire captured 22 percent of tablet sales in the United States in just nine months after its initial launch last November 2011.

"Tablets are poised to be the next-generation gaming device, and through our strategic relationship with Amazon, along with their mindful support of the developer community, we're excited to have some of our best games in the hands of millions of people this holiday," said Hulett. "Our coveted casual gaming community can also expect to see more cross-platform titles from us in the near future."

Collapse! and Doodle Jump are premium game downloads available immediately for $1.99 and $0.99 respectively on the Amazon Appstore. TextTwist will be available to Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite customers in time for the holidays.
