HD-DVD Gets Studio Backing

Bad news for consumers. Why do companies make two standards... (Think of Beta and VHS, DVD+R and DVD-R). I'm betting on Blu-ray to win out. Considering that HP and Dell are backing Blu-ray, it is nearly a sure winner. Dell and HP are numbers 1 and 2 in PC makers.
