Criminals Using Latest iPhone®, BlackBerry® and Android(TM) Models are No Longer Safe from Conviction with Enhanced Mobile Forensic Technology

PETAH TIKVA, Israel, October 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

    Cellebrite
[http://www.cellebrite.com/mobile-forensics-products/forensics-products.html ], the leading
provider of mobile forensic solutions, has today introduced advanced technology which can
successfully extract deleted and existing or hidden data from iPhone 5, iOS 6, Android
4.1, and BlackBerry devices. This technological advance means that police forces can
obtain even more forensic data, as part of criminal investigations from the newest model
smartphones and platforms.

A forced alibi, the plotting of crimes and even GEO-location data stored on any phone
can now be retrieved from the mobile's memory and used as evidence in the court of law.
The update makes Cellebrite the only vendor in the mobile forensics industry to provide
full extraction support for the three major smartphone operating systems.

The enhanced support offered by Cellebrite includes:

        - the decoding of deleted BlackBerry Messenger messages and group chats
        - full physical extraction of iOS 6 Data - software which was launched by Apple
          in September 2012
        - the extraction of all hidden and deleted data from devices running Samsung's
Jelly Bean OS, as well as the bypass of pattern, PIN, or passcode locks on supported
          Android devices

Cellebrite Co-CEO Ron Serber commented, "This new technology offers our mobile
forensics customers the most thorough data extraction capabilities for the newest, most
popular, and widest range of mobile devices. It enables investigators to continue to be
more flexible and responsive when investigating all types of crimes, and in turn makes the
legal process much more efficient."

Cellebrite's technology is used by a number of police forces and military departments
in the UK and worldwide. Cindy Murphy, a detective with the Madison (WI) Police Department
in the US, said, "Sales of so many iPhones, and new shipments of Android devices with the
4.1 OS, increase the likelihood that investigators will encounter these devices. The
prevalence of these next generation smartphones, with their rich variety of data, means
that mobile forensics tools must be able to recover everything that can have evidentiary
value in our investigations.

"Cellebrite's latest release gives us that capability and supports the most
forensically sound process, so that we can make better cases no matter how criminals use
smartphone technology."
