Panasas To Showcase The New Activestor 14 With Hadoop Support At Supercomputing 12
Product Demonstration to Show Leading Apache Hadoop Performance on ActiveStor 14
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasas, Inc., the leader in high performance parallel storage for technical computing applications and big data workloads, will showcase the recently announced ActiveStor 14 parallel storage system running high-performance Hadoop workloads at the Supercomputing 2012 (SC12) Conference and Exhibition in Salt Lake City, Nov. 12 - 15 in booth 3421. The highly scalable ActiveStor 14 extends performance leadership to a broader set of workloads by delivering industry-best performance for large and small files and now provides Hadoop support to maximize value from business data.

Internal testing using standard Hadoop benchmarks has shown that ActiveStor 14T performs 30 percent faster than a local disk implementation.
